Business Journal Editor to speak at April Meeting

The editor of the Sioux Falls Business Journal will speak at the April 4, 2007 meeting of the Public Relations Network of Sioux Falls. Yvonne Hawkins will talk to the group about the publication and how public relations practitioners can interact with it. The member spotlight will feature Sioux Falls-based Poet, the largest dry-mill ethanol producer in the country.

According to a bio taken from the Sioux Falls Business Journal web site: "Yvonne D. Hawkins joined Gannett in 1989 as a night police reporter for The Herald-Dispatch in Huntington, W.Va. She later became a copy editor, then joined the Lansing State Journal in Lansing, Mich. At the State Journal, she worked as a copy editor, assistant city editor, assistant news editor and news editor. Yvonne is native of Omaha, Nebraska. She has a bachelor of science degree in journalism from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism in Evanston, Illinois. She also has a master of divinity degree from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary in Evanston, Illinois. She enjoys music as well as arts and crafts."
